The objective of Vishwakarma Yojana is to provide financial assistance to artisans. This will promote the practice of traditional skills of artisans. This will help in delivering the products and services properly to the artisans.
The outlay of PM Vishwakarma Yojana will be fully funded by the Central Government. Rs 13000 crore is to be spent on Vishwakarma Yojana, the direct benefits of which will be seen in the beneficiaries joining it.
Under the Vishwakarma scheme, a toolkit incentive of Rs 15,000 will be provided to the beneficiaries. Also, the beneficiaries will get a stipend of Rs 500 per day and will also be provided with basic skill training.
PM Vishwakarma Certificate and ID Card, skill upgradation related to basic and advanced training, collateral free credit support up to Rs 1 lakh (1st installment) and Rs 2 lakh (2nd installment) at concessional interest rate of 5%.
For the first time, 18 traditional trades have been included in the Vishwakarma scheme. At the same time, people joining under this scheme will have two types of skill training. This includes first basic and distance advanced training.

Under PM Vishwakarma Scheme, free registration of Vishwakarmas will be done through Common Service Center (CSC) using biometric based PM Vishwakarma Portal.
