Virat Kohli misses 49th hundred as India beat Sri Lanka by 88 runs in Mumbai

Virat Kohli missed out on an opportunity to equal Sachin Tendulkar's all-time ODI record of 49 hundreds in Mumbai as he fell for 88 in India's World Cup game at the Wankhede Stadium on Thursday, November 2.

Kohli went past 50 and was looking settled in the middle, dominating the spinners in the middle phase of the innings on a hot afternoon in Mumbai.

Virat Kohli's partnership with Shubman Gill was going great guns as the two batters added a 150-plus partnership for the 2nd wicket after India lost Rohit Sharma early for 4.
